WOW! Anyone who’s a believer-of-higher-power (i.e God) should definitely go and see this. If Channel 5’s “Bible Series” was the talk of the town, then this modern adaptation of the classic Bible story (that actually happened according to some historic facts) will be an international hit.
The last film that was epic was “The Passion Of The Christ”. It really brought the good book to life.
Anyhooo, before I start waffling about the misconceptions, controversies and endless denominations of Christianity, “Noah” stars Academy Award winners Russell Crowe and Jennifer Connelly, who play the protagonist and wife Naameh. Emma Watson returns to the silver as Noah’s adopted daughter Ila, while Logan Leman, Douglas Booth and Len McHugh Carroll play the three sons (Ham, Shem and Japheth). In order to make the film appealing, Noah has a nemesis played by Ray Winstone and seeks spiritual consultation from Methuselah (the longest living man in the Bible) played by Anthony Hopkins.
Will there be critique that include comparisons between the true story according to Genesis and the film? Of course! Nevertheless, gratitude to the director Darren Aronofsky. Yes, the same director that made “Black Swan” such a Box office hit. Credits of the screenplay goes to the genius again Darren Aronofsky as well as Scott Franklin, Arnon Milchan, Mary Parent and Ari Handel.
The date is April 4th for UK viewers! Now that we know let’s marvel at the movie ‘teaser poster’ and be prepared for the debate-of-criticism from religious leaders (hey, I’m saying the truth).
‘Who build the ark? Noah, Noah. Who build the ark? Noah Noah build the ark.’
‘The animals went in by two by two hurrah, hurrah. The animals went in by two by two hurrah hurrah! The animals went by two by two; the elephant and the kangaroo and they all went into the ark, trying to get out of the rain.’
