Films 2014: Kellan Lutz Plays The Greek Supermortal Legend Hercules

Remember Kellan Lutz? This should give you a clue, Emment Cullen in Twilight…

He looks very pleasing to the eye in Hercules: The Legends Begins…look at those muscles.

I understand that you’re distracted by his new hot physique in his new role as Hercules. The film is set to be released in US theaters on January 10th 2014. According to reports, this is going one of the first two from the Hercules sequel. Starring alongside Lutz are Scott Adkins, Liam McIntyre, Liam Garrigan, Johnathon Schaech, Roxanne McKee, Gaia Weiss and Rade Serbedzija. Renny Harlin is the director and screenwriting credits goes to Sean Hood and Daniel Giat.

Let me be honest with you. I’m no movie expert with the whole jargon and such. However, I have mixed views about this movie. Film fan critics are saying that it’s a split image of 300/Gladiator/Samson…especially when he was tied to the pillars. I wonder whether the movie world will begin  to start taking inspirations from Roman & Greek mythology to try and create movies that would be appealing to the audience. The Hunger Games is a good example, but that’s because it’s from a book. Nevertheless, the way that it took on Gladiator type principles and intertwined it with entertainment, politics and issues of elitism was very clever. The new director has done a good job of bringing the novel to life, creating 3D graphics a split illusion to reality.
