There’s still debate or speculation as to who will play the lead in the Fifty Shades of Grey book-to-film adaptation since the exit of Charlie Hunnam.
Now Guardian, Telegraph, TIME, Glamour, E! Online and Entertainment Weekly now confirm that the new lead is this man.
Ladies, meet Jamie Dornan. Most of you remember the Irish lad in BBC’s The Fall, ABC’s Once Upon A Time and appeared in 2006’s Marie Antoinette. So from being a serial killer/stalker to a kinky-sexual-dominating wealthy business mogul that has (what I call) a S&M relationship (nah nah nah nah nah come on, come on) with a college student, you can say it’s one great big leap into the A-list. The news has however, diminished many fans’ expectations of a Christian Grey that looked just as (or twice as) hot as Charlie Hunnam. There’s even an online petition about getting Hunnam back unto the film as another character such as Matt Bumer.
Okay, so let’s say that it is Jamie Dornan, he will be also acting in the other two films in the trilogy, in accordance to the agreement…though many haven’t stated that the negotiation is not yet official; but on my probability scale, it’s looking likely that you’ll be seeing this lad more than in his Calvin Klein underwear.
Now we kind of have a good idea who is playing the lead. The question is: Who will be playing the college student?
