Yes people, I know I’m late with this post but who gives a figs? Well, I surely don’t.
Anyhoo, the end of the last week was heated as hot spicy pepper. First up it was Rihanna’s ‘Pour It Up’ video, which I would describe as luxury-porn whilst many describe her work has her exquisite art-piece yet.
Next, you had Sinead O’Connor letter to Miley Cyrus. Remember her (I give you a clue, she was that Irish lassie that done that favourite song ‘Nothing Compares’ in the 80s #nothing compares, nothing compares to you#)? According to reports, Miss ‘twerky’…sorry, Miley was inspired by the singer’s ‘Nothing Compares’ video in terms of showing her vulnerability in ‘Wrecking Ball’.
Now before I begin, I understand that their supporters have seen the massive, preposterous disgust from the public and the media on both artists. Please realise that apart from that fact that both videos have made a man’s day (yes, you know what I mean fellas), there’s is a strong difference between hating someone out of jealously and telling the truth, which would be always mistaken as ‘hating’.
I’m not hating on nobody okay. I believe we are all beautiful in our own way. I mean Rihanna, irrespective of her provocative nakedness is an attractive lady to many men. This is similarly with Cyrus. What I don’t understand is how society has become so amazed by anything sexual…okay, I guess what I said is a weird but ‘on the reals though’ both sexes are sexual creatures (men being the horniest gender). however, I don’t know what mind set one has to be in to go on a video set butt-naked. Come to think of it, how the foolishness do those porn stars do it doing all that explicit acts for entertainment with different men.
‘I am extremely concerned for you that those around you have led you to believe, or encouraged you in your own belief, that it is in any way ‘cool’ to be naked.’
Yeah, because the only thing that I thought was considered ‘artistic’ or ‘cool’ was when you draw someone naked like those Renaissance paintings that was done behind closed doors. Riri wasn’t that naked – although wearing a barely-there-g-thong and an encrusted bra has left little for any man to imagine her without anything on.
‘it is absolutely NOT in ANY way an empowerment of yourself or any other young women…to be valued (even by you) more for your sexual appeal than your obvious talent.’
Liz Jones got a stink for her brutal honestly on Rihanna being considered a role model to young girls. Even though Rihanna didn’t state that she was, we can’t deny that SHE IS in someway an inspiration to young girls regardless. Similarly with those who grew up with Cyrus on Hannah Montana. Shame that girls are pressured and naive to believe that to get a guy you need to dress ‘sexy’ e.g. wear a crop top and leggings (which many of them don’t seem to check how transparent it is). Shockingly, they would also wear jean shorts and wouldn’t bother to test whether the bum-cheek-malfunction would occur. What happened to being fashionable and modesty? Not everything is fashionable you know.
If they want you sexually that doesn’t mean they give a fuck about you. No one who cares about you could support your being pimped … and that includes you yourself.
Guys will treat women the way they (women)80 portray themselves. Wear less -likely chance that you’ll be more than a lustful passion that would be used as another toilet. Dress modestly there’s a good fella around the corner. Even though, they are hard to find. Plus, some will abuse the values of a lady.
This is a dangerous world. We don’t encourage our daughters to walk around naked…it makes them prey for animals and less than animals.
One of every male relatives’ (father, uncle, brother etc.) fear is to hear that their a female in their family is being naked for a photo shoot, adult film (Teen mom Farrah Abraham), porno etc. These male relatives know that there are many male perverts in this world. It’s even a shocker to the mothers, sisters, nieces, aunts and grandma’s too as they as females know too well how women can can be preyed on for her looks and nakedness. For the worst part, only a few women would find love afterwards. All these media outlets that promotes the nakedness of women are all run by a male-dominant work force. The director of Miley Cryus’ video is well-known for his past work that features a lot of butt-naked ladies and we all know too well that Rihanna has become known for her sexual gestures/antics at her concerts.
Real empowerment for yourself as a woman in the future is to be in refuse to exploit your body or your sexuality in order for men to make money from you.
I get concerned when many of their fans state the word ‘female empowerment’ in relation to both artists’ videos. What do mean? Are you telling me that being naked and sexual is much more appealing for girls than for them to go to school, get an education and have class? If that’s the case then of a truth sex sells…but it’s associations are like a battlefield. Female empowerment is conquering the odds of societal stereotypes, breaking the mold and inspiring people with your dignity. Not showing your ‘tits’ on TV. it’s making men to be idiots the more about their perceptions of the opposite sex.
Like it or not…females in the industry are rolemodels and as such we have to be careful what messages we send to other women.
So do you see that Rihanna, YOU ARE STILL A ROLEMODEL. Okay, I respect you didn’t say it by mouth but looking into the amount of fans who love your songs, know it word by word, follow your social networks, support you against the ‘haters’ and attend your concerts I don’t get how you fail to see it…guess you trying to be humble.
Robin Thicke, Rihanna & Miley Cryus are beginning to bring some explicit nakedness into the music world now. It’s always been in Hip Hop but now it’s now reaching the pop world, targeting the very young whilst all they’re seeing is dollar signs $$$. In response to the letter, Miley Cyrus began disrespecting Sinead O’ Connor’s mental health issues (something that Miley would end up having later on after this hype). That alone just shows how people have become so deluded about the shocking truth about the music industry and the world we live in. Nevertheless, a woman’s nakedness should only be persevered to the one she loves. Her value is not determined by how pretty she is and her bodily assets but by her character.
Therefore, if they want to continue being naked and bring porno to the young, let them! All I know is a) I’m not going to watch any of it and b) Every girl is a queen and should be treated in such high dignity and modesty. If you teach that to your daughters and not idolize these mega-superstars, then what you’ve placed in them is worth more than what money can buy.
