Films 2013: James McAvoy Plays Dirty, But On A Filth Level

Tut, tut, tut. James McAvoy is a very naughty boy in Filth, a movie about a cop who plays filthy on all levels you can think of – just to get promotion and win back his daughter & wife.

I can sense a few raised eyebrows…

Nevertheless, this is British films at is best. It’s gritty, grimey and dirty with a sense of dark-humour. Low budget movies is the trademark of British cinema and with the creator of Trainspotting behind the plot, then expect another smash hit. I have a feeling that James McAvoy’s character will make you have mixed emotions; even where you want to give him the slap-of-sense (laughs). Joining him in the dirty works are Jamie Bell & Jim Broadbent in cult novel adaptation by Irvine Welsh.

Movie in be in UK cinemas on October 4th.
