Films 2013: Channing Tatum & Justin Timberlake Take Lead Roles in White House Down and Runner Runner

If you love Channing Tatum, Justin Timberlake or Ben Affleck (scream for these dream guys :O) then check out these new movies that they’re acting in. Lucky for all you lot in the US, you get to see it first. However, we at the British Isles are keeping our fingers cross for these two films to show in our cinemas.  Confirmed by movie site Inside Movies, White House Down will air in US cinemas on the 28 June while Runner Runner will be released in Autumn or as you Americans say ‘Fall’ (date to be confirmed).

Roland Emmerich (Independance Day, 2012 & Day After Tommorow) directs White House Down; starring Channing Tatum & Jamie Foxx. Capitol Policeman John Cale’s (Channing Tatum) dream position as a Secret Agent for the President James Sawyer (Jamie Foxx) is shattered as he was denied the role. However, in order not to disappoint his teenage daughter, Cale gives her a tour of the White House, which leads him to be in a complex situation where the security of the White House and the wellbeing of the President is being threatened – as well as the safety of his own daughter.

Runner Runner stars Justin Timberlake as a intelligent Ivy League student who plays gambling a.k.a online poker as a desperate way to pay off his tuition fees. The student becomes suspicious that someone on the other side of the internet has cheated him (after going bust) and therefore arranges a face-to-face meeting with the suspect, who is a subtle-sly-scheming entrepreneur who is played by Ben Affleck. The rest of the synopsis is suspense from here…

I don’t want to give too much away but you have a good idea of what both films are about. Already film critics are flooding in about White House Down; many state that its just a copy of Olympus Has Fallen. We just have to see the Box Office results in both the US & UK. Although I must say how HOT these fellas look in both action thrillers. 🙂
